Snare Wires and Straps

Baskey Vintage manufacture a range of snare wires, straps and accessories. Our snare wires are hand made in the UK from Helicoil compression springs that are manufactured in the UK from High Tensile BS5216 Carbon Spring steel on the very latest CNC spring coiler to British Standard tolerances from material also sourced in the UK. Once they have been carefully made, they are zinc plated and passivated.

Snare wires to fit Premier 2000 series flobeam parallel action snare drum strainer.

This set of wires is for the Premier 2000 series of snare drums (2000, 2001, 2003 and others) with the Flobeam parallel action strainer. These wires are available as a two set of 12 wires each (twin 12s) and are 16 3/16” overall length.

These wires are for the snare drums commonly used on drum kits and are not suitable for the marching snare drums that require the longer (16 7/8") version, also available from Baskey Vintage.

Snare wires to fit Premier Royal Ace parallel action snare drum strainer

These wires are available as a two set of 10 wires each (twin 10s) and are specifically for concert and marching snare drums that are fitted with the 1-60 and 10-70 Royal Ace parallel action snare strainers and are 15 5/8” overall length.

Snare Wire Straps

Baskey high tension snare wire straps

Made in the UK from polypropylene, these straps are load tested to 175kg, many times stronger than traditional mylar straps or snare cord.

Durable, long lasting and no stretch plus reduced clamp slippage.

200mm x 16mm, 4 straps in each pack, available in lime green, sky blue, red and yellow (please specify colour when ordering).
